Culinary Hike – Warth - Körbersee

Through the Auenfeld to the natural gem at the Tannberg. After breakfast, the Steffisalp chairlift will take you to the start at 1,884 metres above sea level. The next stop will be for lunch at the idyllic Körbersee lake. The trip continues with views of the impressive mountains to dessert at an alpine hut and then back to Warth.

Tour: Warth - Bürstegg - Auenfeld - Berghotel Körbersee - Salobersattel -  Wolfegg, Warth (walking time approx. 5½ h)

Hiking distance: 16.1 km | Ascent: 614 metres in altitude | Descent: 976 metres in altitude | Walking time: around 5½ hours | Total duration: around 8½ hours

Equipment: Non-slip mountain-hiking boots, hiking sticks, water bottle, sun screen and protection from the rain

Please remember that the actual walking time is around four hours and that therefore you’ll require a good basic physical fitness. Please do not leave the marked trails for your own safety and to protect the sensitive natural area.

* Walser Käsfladen (yeast cheesecake) finely garnished with salad or

* Home-made apple or quark-cheese strudel with ice-cream from a farm in Au and a cup of coffee
